Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – A pair of failed clear attempts were costly for the Mountaineers on Thursday night in Lynchburg, as Liberty was able to capitalize on the miscues and deal App State a 2-0 loss at Osborne Stadium.
Playing without defender Skyler Walk for the first time in her career, as a result of a pair of yellow cards at Radford on Sunday, the Mountaineer defense was stretched even before the match began.
Liberty, which entered the match having received votes in this week's top-25 poll and riding a 20-match unbeaten streak, opened the scoring in the 30th minute of play.
