CONWAY, S.C. – Appalachian State University softball fell to Coastal Carolina in a conference doubleheader, 5-1 and 3-2, on Friday at the Coastal Carolina Softball Stadium in Conway, S.C.
Appalachian State (14-32, 2-21 SBC) pounded out six hits on Friday, and Katie Mathewson and Jenny Dodd turned in multiple-hit performances. Dodd went 2-for-5, and Mathewson went 2-for-6, which included a solo jack in game two, her ninth of her career.
