BOONE, N.C. — After playing nine of its last 10 games at home, Appalachian State (15-18, 7-7 Sun Belt) hits the road for a midweek matchup at East Tennessee State (25-10, 6-3 SoCon) before continuing on to Troy for a Sun Belt road series that begins Thursday.
Heading into their 137th meeting, App State holds a 78-57-1 lead in a series that dates back to 1955. Since the Mountaineers left the Southern Conference and joined the Sun Belt, they are 2-2 against the Bucs, including 1-1 during head coach Kermit Smith's debut season in 2017.
