App Belts Georgia State Behind Eaves, Lawson

Frank Eaves (Greensboro, N.C./Page) scored 25 points and Jacob Lawson (Reidsville, N.C./Oak Ridge MIlitary Academy/Purdue) filled the stat sheet with seven points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots to propel Appalachian State University men’s basketball to an impressive 76-67 win over defending Sun Belt Conference champion Georgia State on Thursday evening at the Holmes Center.

Appalachian State (5-13, 3-4 Sun Belt) ran out to a 38-22 halftime advantage and led by as many as 19 points in the second half en route to stunning Georgia State (12-5, 5-3 Sun Belt) at home for the second-straight season.
