BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University field hockey sophomore Ali Williams was named the Mid-American Conference's Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts in last week's action, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The sophomore midfielder scored a goal in each of App State's three games last week, leading the Mountaineers to two shutout wins over Central Michigan after suffering a tough loss to No. 15 Wake Forest.
She is the first App State field hockey player to earn a MAC weekly award since the Mountaineers joined the league this season.
