Davis, King and Uzo Aduba's Emmy wins marked three victories for African American actresses at the Emmys, tying a record set in 1991 for most acting Emmys awarded to black women in a single year.
Henson, who presented King the award alongside "Empire" co-star Terrance Howard, couldn't contain her excitement when the actress won for supporting actress in a limited series or movie for her role as Aliyah Shadeed in "American Crime.
