Convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is in federal court Wednesday morning for his formal death sentencing. The appearance gives him one last chance to explain publicly why he and his brother carried out the 2013 attack that killed three people and injured more than 260. Victims and their families also have a chance to speak.
The Times’ Richard A. Serrano is providing updates from the scene.
