Team Finland, with only two NHL players on their roster and zero combined goals in the regular season, made a Cinderella run to the IIHF World Championship game. They defeated Sweden, Russia, and Canada in the finals, all powerhouse teams with most of the best players in the tournament.
Safe to say, it was a run almost no one expected. But that just made it even more exciting for someone like Finnish legend Teemu Selanne, arguably the greatest hockey player Finland has ever had and the most successful Finnish international player of all time.
The former Anaheim Ducks winger decided to support his team as much as he could (short of actually being in the stands) and donned his full Team Finland gear from his final international run as captain of the Sumoi squad in the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
