Homicide detectives are seeking three suspects in the shooting death late Friday of a South Los Angeles taco vendor.
The shooting occurred at 10:50 p.m. when one of three men who approached the vendor on foot shot him in the face during a possible robbery attempt, LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado said Sunday.
The 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, at the intersection of East 51st Street and McKinley Avenue, she said.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said Sunday that the victim's name was being withheld pending notification of his family in Mexico.
