People spending Labor Day weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area are going to have a little trouble getting around, with several construction projects and a concert expected to cause some transit closures and snarl traffic.
From Saturday through Monday, BART will close its West Oakland Station and will have no service across the bay between San Francisco and Oakland while workers repair a section of track. The Embarcadero, SoMa, Mission Bay and downtown areas will be hit hardest by the closures, officials said.
"If you have to be there, we recommend making the trip by foot, bike or bus," the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency said in a statement.
