Questions are being raised about the police video of Sandra Bland’s arrest during a dispute with a Texas state trooper after continuity problems and anomalies were spotted in the video.
The dashboard video, released Tuesday afternoon by the Texas Department of Public Safety, shows what appears to be a contentious confrontation between Texas State Trooper Brian T. Encinia and Bland, a 28-year-old African American who died three days later in jail. The trooper says he pulled her over for failing to signal before a lane change. Authorities say she committed suicide, but her death is being investigated as a possible homicide.
