Rakell Named to Team Sweden World Cup Roster

Ducks center Rickard Rakell today was added to Team Sweden’s 23-man roster for the World Cup of Hockey 2016. Today’s announcement brings the current total of Ducks participating in the World Cup to six, including the previously announced Ryan Getzlaf for Canada, Ryan Kesler for USA, John Gibson for Team North America, Sami Vatanen for Finland and Jakob Silfverberg for Sweden. Rakell replaces injured St. Louis forward Alexander Steen on the Swedish roster. The best-on-best international hockey tournament will be held in Toronto, Canada from Sept. 17-Oct.
