After spending his entire career in the Big Apple, Carl Hagelin will experience the comforts and laidback lifestyle Orange County has to offer. The speedy winger was acquired from the New York Rangers along with second-round (59th overall) and sixth-round (179th overall) selections in the 2015 NHL Draft in exchange for Long Beach native Emerson Etem and a second-round (41st overall) pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. It was a farewell to Etem, whom the Ducks drafted late in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft held in Los Angeles.
