A 22-year-old Palmdale man was arrested Monday on suspicion of abusing his family's dogs, including breaking one dog's legs and injuring the neck of another, authorities said.
Shortly before 1 a.m., Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to a home in the 5800 block of Saint Laurent Drive, where family members said Andres Garcia was kicking and brutalizing the family's four dogs, Sheriff's Deputy Jodi Wolfe said.
Family members told deputies that they tried to stop Garcia, but he continued the abuse, Wolfe said.
Of the family's four dogs, one "appeared to have" both hind legs broken and several cuts, officials said.
