Summertide, the onetime Lake Tahoe retreat of tycoon entrepreneur Howard Hughes, is being reintroduced to the market at $19.5 million -- the same price it was listed for last year -- but with a marketing twist.
Set on a sheltered cove on Crystal Bay, the 5.5-acre pine-dotted property centers on the reclusive billionaire’s original log home. This time around, however, the site is also being touted for its potential for redevelopment as a lakefront residential compound or possible division into lakefront and lake-view home sites.
The scenic property currently includes the renovated bluff-top home with lake views, a waterfront guest cottage, 500 feet of shoreline, a pier, a boatlift and mooring buoys.
