The NHL announced today that Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Ritchie was fined $4,121.86, the maximum amount allowable under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement for roughing Buffalo Sabres forward Vladimir Sobotka.
The money from the fine goes to the Player’s Emergency Assistance Fund.

Ritchie had went after the Sabres forward after an apparent exchange of words, after which the Ducks forward took exception and committed the penalty, also tangling with goaltender Linus Ullmark.
