NHLer Martin Havlat skates into Boca Raton with $2.94-million purchase

Two-time NHL All-Star Martin Havlat, who hopes to earn a roster spot with the Florida Panthers for the coming season, has bought a house in Boca Raton, Fla., for $2.943 million.

Completed last year, the two-story home in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club is located about 40 minutes northeast of the Panthers' home, the BB&T Center.

About 5,000 square feet of open space features walnut wood floors, hand-painted doors, large formal spaces and a center-island kitchen. The first-floor master suite sports his and her closets, a soaking tub and a steam shower for a total of four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
