Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton reportedly out 4-6 weeks with broken hand

Miami Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton reportedly could miss the next four to six weeks after breaking a bone in his left hand during a 7-1 loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

According to multiple reports, Stanton will undergo surgery to repair a fracture of the hamate bone. He appeared to suffer the injury on a swing during the sixth inning, telling reporters his hand was swollen after the at-bat. Stanton then grimaced after striking out to Dodgers reliever Pedro Baez in the ninth inning.

Stanton, a former multisport star at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, finished the game 0 for 4 with three strikeouts.
