One Marine was killed and 18 injured in a vehicle rollover accident Thursday at Camp Pendleton, the Marine Corps said.
No other details were released. The incident is under investigation.
"The command's priorities are to take care of the Marines, sailors and their families of the unit," said Lt. Colleen McFadden, spokeswoman for the 1st Marine Division.
The Marines and their family members "are being provided for during this difficult time," McFadden said.
The name of the Marine killed in the accident will not be released until 24 hours after the family is notified, which is standard policy for the Marine Corps.
