Look west: Jupiter and Venus converge in night sky

Look west on Tuesday night: Jupiter and Venus will nearly converge, and you don't need a telescope to see their planetary dance.

According to NASA, the two will be one-third of a degree apart, the closest they'll get until August 2016.

"You'll be able to hide the pair not just behind the palm of your outstretched hand, but behind your little pinky finger," according to the space agency's website.
