In a marathon session, Greek Parliament OKs new baliout proposal

Five days after Greeks voted "no" to more austerity measures, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was trying Friday to sell skeptical Eurozone partners and Greek lawmakers, especially his own party's hardliners, on a package of tough reforms in hopes of gaining a third bailout from creditors.

The 11th hour proposal issued Thursday was a frantic attempt to gain nearly $60 billion in new loans to prevent Greece and its banks from running out of cash and possibly exiting the Eurozone. The news of a possible deal sent global stock markets surging Friday morning.

Tsipras may not have as easy a time convincing cash-strapped Greeks that the measures are just what the doctor ordered.
