Horcoff Plays 1,000th Career NHL Game

Ducks center Shawn Horcoff is playing in his 1,000th career NHL game tonight.

Drafted by Edmonton in the fourth round (99th overall) of the 1998 NHL Draft, Horcoff, 37, played the first 796 games of his career with the Oilers and served as team captain from 2010-13. The Trail, British Columbia native made his NHL debut on Dec. 6, 2000 vs. Nashville.

Horcoff joined the Dallas Stars from 2013-15 (153 games) before signing with Anaheim as a free agent this past summer (this is his 51st game with the Ducks).

The last Duck to play in his 1000th career game was Saku Koivu on Mar.
