Google is changing its operating structure and will become part of a holding company called Alphabet.
Alphabet will house the main Google businesses including search, maps and YouTube, along with businesses managed separately such as Fiber, Nest and investing arms such as Google Ventures.
Larry Page, co-founder and chief executive of Google, will become the chief executive of Alphabet. Sergey Brin, the other co-founder of Google, will be the new company's president, and Eric Schmidt, Google's executive chairman, will hold the same post at Alphabet.
Sundar Pichai, currently Google's senior vice president of products, will become the Google CEO.
