Retired Major League Baseball reliever Bob Howry, who played for the Cubs, White Sox and Giants, among others, has put his custom home in Peoria, Ariz., on the market for $2.85 million.
The desert contemporary, designed by architect Barry Goldstein and built for Howry in 2008, is distinguished by varying horizontal rooflines, walls of floor-to-ceiling glass and a textured colored stone exterior.
Designed for entertaining, the open-space floor plan centers on a formal living room with a wall fireplace that opens to a center-island kitchen and breakfast area.
Other areas within the 8,771 square feet of space include a formal dining room, an office, a gym, five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
