Former NFL defensive tackle Ray McDonald has been charged with domestic violence and false imprisonment in connection with an incident with his ex-fiancee while she held their 2-month-old baby, prosecutors said Thursday.
McDonald is scheduled to be arraigned on those charges, as well as charges of child endangerment and violating a court order, later on Thursday, according to the Santa Clara County district attorney's office.
Prosecutors say McDonald assaulted the woman around 4 a.m. May 25 after breaking into her bedroom. He was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and child endangerment later that day.
