A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening three miles from Brawley, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 8:27 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was five miles from Imperial, Calif., nine miles from El Centro, Calif. and 17 miles from Calexico, Calif.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
