After waiting out until the trade deadline expired at noon, the Anaheim Ducks have finally made a move. Though it was rumored there might be some action between the Ducks and the Pittsburgh Penguins on forward Nicolas Deslauriers, but after the Penguins snagged Jeff Carter from the Los Angeles Kings, it’s unlikely those talks continued.
But the team did still make a move, sending defender Ben Hutton to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Per TSN’s Frank Seravalli, the Ducks will receive a 2022 fifth-round draft selection in exchange for the blueliner.
