The Anaheim Ducks have reportedly signed defenseman Michael Del Zotto to a one year contract worth $700,000, according to TVA Sports Renaud Lavoie.
Del Zotto was originally acquired from the Vancouver Canucks on January 17th for defenseman Luke Schenn and a 6th round draft pick. He proceeded to play 12 games with Anaheim, mostly alongside Cam Fowler. There, he put up three points (0G, 3A) with respectable shot metrics (47.54 CF%, 46.20 SCF%).
Del Zotto was dealt to the St. Louis Blues at the trade deadline after his short stint in Anaheim for a 5th round pick, with Murray in essence upgrading the 6th round pick he had previously spent to acquire him.
