Ducks Sign Francois Beauchamin To 1 Year Contract

Veteran defenseman Francois Beauchemin has signed a 1-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks at a reported value of $1 million plus up to $500,000 in bonus incentives, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Beauchemin is the Ducks franchise leader in games played among defensemen with 525 appearances.

He played for Anaheim from 2005 until 2009 and was a member of the 2007 Stanley Cup champion team.

In 2009, he signed a contract as a free agent to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs where he played until 2011 when he was traded back to the Ducks for Joffrey Lupul, Jake Gardiner and Anaheim's 4th round pick in the 2013 Entry Draft.
