The Ducks have signed defenseman Jacob Larsson to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Larsson, 19 (4/29/97), made his North American debut with the San Diego Gulls in Game 2 of the American Hockey League (AHL) Pacific Division Finals on May 7 vs. Ontario. The 6-2, 191-pound defenseman played a majority of the 2015-16 season with Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), scoring 5-9=14 points with a +11 rating and 10 penalty minutes (PIM). Larsson also added three assists (0-3=3) in 16 playoff games to help Frolunda to the SHL Championship.
