The center has been sidelined with a groin injury, but has skated four days in a row, including a full practice Tuesday. He was on the top line with Rickard Rakell and Troy Terry.
“At this time of year, it’s about not ever having setbacks, that’s the biggest thing with injury recovery this early in the season," Getzlaf said following practice. “It’s about making sure we’re going forward. If we’re going back at all we need to tone it back.”
Getzlaf said he pushed and pulled in the corners to test his groin, and will see how the injury reacts Wednesday morning.
