The Ducks announced Sunday night that they have acquired defenseman Patrick Sieloff for forward Brian Gibbons.
Gibbons signed a 1-year, $1 million contract as a UFA with the Ducks during the offseason. The speedy winger played in 44 games for Anaheim tallying five points (2G, 3A) as a 4th-liner/healthy scratch.
With the trade of Brandon Montour earlier in the evening, Bob Murray continued his roster tinkering as he looks to move pieces in his plan for a retool.
Sieloff is a 24-year-old blueliner with one NHL game to his name (last season) where he scored his only career goal.
