As we head into another coronavirus weekend, I figured it would be a good time to look back and reflect on when you became a fan of the Anaheim Ducks.
The franchise played first came into the NHL for the 1993-94 season, when it was the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. It was an ugly first-outing for the Ducks. They were pummeled at home, losing 7-2 to the Detroit Red Wings.
After missing the playoffs the first three seasons, Anaheim —led by the dynamic duo of Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne— made its first playoff appearance in the 1996-97 season.
