Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives resumed their work in a La Puente backyard Friday, where they and coroner’s officials were digging for the remains of a person missing since 2009.
Authorities first descended on the home Thursday morning about 7 a.m., after “developing” information that the remains of a missing person might be buried on the property.
Though authorities would not say if they found anything Friday morning, video from the scene by local media showed investigators taking pictures of the hole they had dug. Much of the scene was shielded from news helicopters by a row of investigators standing around it and a canopy covering it.
