Hundreds of nude cyclists peddled through downtown Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon as part of World Naked Bike Ride, an international grass-roots movement to promote positive body image.
"Be as bare as you dare," declared the L.A. chapter's website.
On the streets, some riders covered their bodies in paint while others wore nothing but helmets and the smiles on their faces. According to the group's website, the event started at 12:30 p.m. at the corner of Baker and Spring streets. The route took riders in a "big figure 8" through downtown, along the L.A. River and Echo Park.
