Later this year, Walt Disney Co. will launch a new line of smart toys, called Playmation, that relies on a system of interconnected devices to put users in the middle of the action.
It's a marriage of digital and traditional playthings, and one that requires a bit of explanation to understand.
So before it debuts in October, the company will give consumers a chance to demo Playmation in an experience that will introduce the complex toy to children - and more importantly, retail experts say - to their parents.
Starting Saturday, Disney will offer immersive demos of Playmation at 90 of its namesake stores in North America.
