California fires

The Valley fire in Northern California has burned 70,000 acres and is 30% contained. The 71,780-acre Butte fire, burning in the Sierra foothill Gold Country is now 45% contained and the 140,760-acre Rough fire in the mountains east of Fresno is 67% contained.
