A brush fire in Santa Clarita is creating traffic headaches during the rush-hour commute. The 5 Freeway was briefly shut down as firefighters battled the 100-acre blaze.
What we know so far:
- 100 acres burned, 20% contained
- 450 firefighters are working blaze
- One firefighter with a minor burn injury was taken to a hospital
- Two lanes have reopened on northbound 5 at Gavin Canyon. All lanes have reopened on the southbound 5.
