Crespi Coach Russell White guided the Celts to a state Division IV championship last season, but the Celts have much bigger plans for 2016. They want to be an Open Division team and early summer success is showing off their potential.
Crespi opened the Fairfax tournament on Monday with a 72-61 win over a good Orange Lutheran team.
Brandon Williams had 21 points and De'Anthony Melton scored 19 points. Crespi made nine of 18 three-point attempts. Over the weekend, Crespi defeated Corona Centennial in another tournament game, giving a clear indication the Celts are a team to watch.
