Male strippers and the return of the Terminator were not enough to get moviegoers to flock to theaters over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
New offerings "Terminator Genisys" and "Magic Mike XXL" fell short of tracking expectations of $50 million to $60 million and came in at No. 3 and No. 4 with $44.15 million and $27 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, summer tentpoles "Jurassic World" and "Inside Out" maintained their top spots in first and second, each falling about 40% from last weekend.
The Universal Pictures "Jurassic" installment added $30.9 million in its fourth weekend, making its domestic haul $558.
