It’s finally here! The Anaheim Ducks take the ice tomorrow, and only one excruciatingly long day stands in our way. We’re gearing up for the beginning of the regular season, and I’m sure, just like me, you’ve already pulled out one of your jerseys and are ready for action! In the spirit of our favorite day of the year, I rewrote a Christmas classic to fit the theme of opening day. This rewrite of the Night Before Christmas is meant to be fun, so I hope you enjoy it!
The Night Before Ducks Hockey
‘Twas the night before Ducks hockey, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even Mickey Mouse
Our jerseys were hung in our closets with car
In hopes that Lord Stanely soon would be there;
The players have nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of playoffs danced in their heads;
And while we were sleeping, we dreamed of the game
We whistled, and shouted, called the players by name:
“Go, Getzy!
