ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Defenseman Marcus Pettersson has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks.
The club announced the deal with its Swedish second-round draft pick on Saturday.
Anaheim selected Pettersson last summer with the 38th overall pick. He spent last season with Skelleftea AIK in the Swedish Hockey League, going scoreless in 14 games while also playing for the under-20 team.
The 6-foot-4 Pettersson turned 19 years old last month. Ducks general manager Bob Murray has said he expects Pettersson to continue playing in Sweden next season.
