It was just yesterday that Luca Sbisa signed a one-year, one-way contract with the Anaheim Ducks. The ink on his contract was barely dry before they put him on waivers to send him down to San Diego as a reinforcement for Kevin Dineen and his struggling Gulls. After being stripped of a majority of their playoff-contending team from last year via free agency and to fill the Anaheim Ducks needs, a seasoned and experienced veteran who is familiar with the organization could have been a big help.
The only obstacle that stood in the way of him moving to San Diego was waivers, and it seemed as though he would clear them without any issues.
