The Anaheim Ducks announced Tuesday evening that they have assigned center Chris Wagner to AHL San Diego.
This announcement comes just days after the Ducks recalled top defensive prospect Shea Theodore and experienced blue-liner Korbinian Holzer. Theodore has since been reassigned to the AHL while Holzer remains with the Ducks to fill in for other injured defensemen.
Wagner has appeared in just one game so far this season, in much part due to the strong play of veteran fourth line center Shawn Horcoff who has pushed Wagner into the healthy scratch slot.
