IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, February 20.
Player of the Week
Sydney McKinney * Jr. * IF * Wichita State
McKinney captained Wichita State to a 2-2 split in a competitive tournament at No. 10 Arkansas, batting .438 with five extra-base hits, five RBI and five runs scored. McKinney finished the weekend with three multi-hit games and scored a run in each start during the event. McKinney went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and run scored in a win over Illinois on Feb.
