WICHITA, Kan. – The No. 4 seed Wichita State Shockers used a third straight sweep to defeat No. 6 Florida Atlantic 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-19) to win the 2024 American Volleyball Championship at Charles Koch Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The sweep marked the first time this season that the Shockers have swept opponents in three straight matches, having swept No. 5 Tulsa and No. 1 South Florida in the tournament.
The Shockers (18-13) were led by Brooklyn Leggett (13) and Morgan Stout (12), combining for 25 of the Shocker’s 43 kills. Izzi Strand paced the Shockers with 31 assists, while adding four kills.
