DENTON, Texas – No. 8 Wichita State defeated No. 9 seed South Florida, 73-68, in the quarterfinals of the 2025 American Men’s Basketball Championship Thursday, March 13 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
With the win, the Shockers will face No. 1 seed Memphis in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 14 at 1 p.m. ET/noon CT on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
The Shockers (19-13) jumped out to a 17-6 lead 6:35 into the game, holding the Bulls (13-19) to 3-of-11 shooting to start the game.
Wichita State’s largest lead of the game was 16 with 16:47 left in the second half.
