Wichita State 4, UConn 3
Mackenzie Wright and Bailey Lange led Wichita State to a 4-3 victory over UConn to sweep their first conference road series in two years. Wright went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and a single RBI while Lange went perfect through the first four innings in the circle. The Shockers took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a pair of UConn miscues, then added single runs in the fifth via Laurie Derrico's RBI single and in the sixth on a Wright RBI single. UConn's Kiwi McDaniel delivered a three-run homer in a pinch-hit situation in the bottom of the sixth, but the comeback attempt fell short for the Huskies.
