USF's Gozun and Tulane’s Schmitz Earn The American Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Players of the Year Award

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - USF senior Sasha Gozun and Tulane junior Constantin Schmitz were chosen by the league's nine head coaches as the American Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Players of the Year.

Tulane's Ewan Moore was named the Freshman of the Year, while Bulls' head coach Ashley Fisher was selected as the Coach of the Year.

Gozun, the No. 52 ranked singles player in the ITA, led top-seeded USF to its fourth American Athletic Conference title. The senior was named the Most Outstanding Tournament Performer after producing four combined wins in singles and doubles. Gozun has a 17-11 overall record heading into the NCAA Championships and has produced four wins against opponents ranked in the top 60 of the ITA in singles play.
