STORRS, Conn. – Senior Kia Nurse was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American Third Team for the second straight year, as announced by the organization Monday.
The Hamilton, Ontario, native holds a 3.55 grade-point average and is pursuing an individualized major (sport in media).
On the court, Nurse is averaging 13.8 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 52.4 percent from the field. She is ranked seventh nationally at a 45.5 three-point field goal percentage.
The guard has been named a Dawn Staley Award and Nancy Lieberman Award finalist. She was selected as the AAC Defensive Player of the Year and all-conference first team.
